‘You drink Kava, you sleep like baby!’

Today started out holy and fruitful. Freshly baked doughnuts in abundance for breakfast along with the sheer array of fruit out here is something to marvel at.

Flyer fury & Barefoot livin’

My two nights at Nabua Lodge had come to an end so on Friday 18th November I packed up my little case and prepared for the journey South to my next island, Barefoot Manta.

Shipwrecks & Magnums

Much like dinner had been the night before, 7:30am breakfast was announced via the homemade drum. After a very satisfying night’s sleep, the breakfast came with enough time to settle before the 9:00am activities.

Port Denarau to Nacula Island

It was time! My island hopping tour began today and it began with a 7:00am transfer to Port Denarau.

Fiji, I have arrived!

With only one week between me booking this trip and the day I left for Fiji, it left minimal time for me to have to wait. Perfect!

Having kindly been gifted a pocket sized guide to Australia, one of the recommendations which took my fancy was to climb a building named the Q1.

Bula! I’m flying to Fiji!

This is the face of a *happy* lady who has just booked a one week trip to Fiji!

Miami Marketta

Wednesday 9th November and I have just crept into week three of my five here in Australia.

$1 sugar rush & a whole lot of heat

Being by the coast, and when I say by we all know by now I mean on, it’s easy to forget that further inland there is also much to be seen. Here in Gold Coast they call inland the ‘Hinterland’.

Byron Bay & PADI drama

With one day notice, on Tuesday 1st November Jade and I set out at 6am to drive just over an hour South to the idyllic location of Byron Bay.
